When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, 彭凌晨 put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommie Vaes. If 彭凌晨 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, 袁亦国 made a precise shot to the right of Tommie Vaes. Silver Squad AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Squad AFC's zone, 彭凌晨 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommie Vaes came out of the goal and 彭凌晨 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Tommie Vaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 彭凌晨, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when 袁亦国 came free, but Tommie Vaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, 袁亦国 managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≮王者归来≯虎王出山's supporters rose to their feet, but 袁亦国 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Gilbert Koninkx fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silver Squad AFC's protests and gave Gilbert Koninkx a yellow card for diving instead. If 彭凌晨 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 袁亦国 in the 84th minute of play. ≮王者归来≯虎王出山's 魏晨邦 got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute, 袁亦国 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ≮王者归来≯虎王出山 had played much better football throughout.
