Didi Vendetta kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When Alfonso Simeoni fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Infami di Canaus's protests and gave Alfonso Simeoni a yellow card for diving instead. Alvise Testi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilford Shipp in the 6th minute of the match. Dante Paquette's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvise Testi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Elia Cicchinelli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruce Nesbitt. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Claudio Diana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bruce Nesbitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruce Nesbitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elia Cicchinelli in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes Infami di Canaus got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Simeoni. Wilford Shipp, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Cosmos Soccer Club's Monte Leary nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvise Testi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sid Hart kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Darron Bernal got a free kick in the 31st minute. Elia Cicchinelli scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruce Nesbitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvise Testi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilford Shipp in the 40th minute of play. Bruce Nesbitt made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Elia Cicchinelli sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elia Cicchinelli to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Cosmos Soccer Club's Russ Thorne dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Bruce Nesbitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Cicchinelli in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute Didi Vendetta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Nesbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Weldon Velasco. Bruce Nesbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Vendetta in the 68th minute of play. Bruce Nesbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Vendetta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weldon Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Elia Di Lorenzo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruce Nesbitt. Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruce Nesbitt came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Infami di Canaus's Didi Vendetta. But to his dismay, Didi Vendetta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Infami di Canaus's Alfonso Simeoni got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Alfonso Simeoni off the ground. In the 78th minute, Alfonso Simeoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play, Infami di Canaus's Didi Vendetta made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruce Nesbitt was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the match, Infami di Canaus's goalkeeper Alvise Testi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monte Leary. In the 87th minute, Elia Cicchinelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Didi Vendetta made a precise shot to the right of Bruce Nesbitt. Cosmos Soccer Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Infami di Canaus could leave the field as winners, despite Cosmos Soccer Club having more of the ball for most of the match.
