Sid Hart made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gallo Crisis's Christofere Opdebeeck. Bruce Nesbitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Vranx in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Cosmos Soccer Club defense, Alex Vranx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruce Nesbitt. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruce Nesbitt should have stopped the shot. If Dante Paquette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Gallo Crisis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert De Maijer to maneuver through the defense. Dante Paquette took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jullian Martin. Jullian Martin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Gallo Crisis getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Evert De Maijer hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Russ Thorne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jullian Martin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Russ Thorne came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cosmos Soccer Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Thorne couldn't finish the play. Jullian Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilford Shipp in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilford Shipp to strike the kick off in the second half. Jullian Martin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Russ Thorne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jullian Martin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Russ Thorne sped through Gallo Crisis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jullian Martin. In the 76th match minute, Gallo Crisis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bass De Cat to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Wilford Shipp notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Gallo Crisis's Jullian Martin. Jullian Martin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jullian Martin was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Russ Thorne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Russ Thorne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Cosmos Soccer Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
