With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciaran McGill in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Andres saved Orxata I Fartons from getting behind. Peter Andres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Alderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Garci Alvarez's late challenge caught a Smiddy Celts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garci Alvarez helped the player get up and apologised. Smiddy Celts made a substitution. Wayne Grigor replaced Les Limond. In the 16th minute, Garci Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Orxata I Fartons's goal looked a bit too open when Jordan Hastings came free, but Peter Andres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Andres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciaran McGill in the 18th minute of play. With 21 minutes on the clock, James McRurie commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 20 minutes into the game, one of Smiddy Celts:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Smiddy Celts's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Auderico Mata scored to the left of an out of position Ian McVey, making the score, 2-0. Gordon Alderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Peter Andres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Auderico Mata got free with Ian McVey in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute of the match, Benjamin Verdeja tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ian McVey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peter Andres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Alderson in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Smiddy Celts's Wayne Grigor got a free kick in the 40th minute. Orxata I Fartons's Benjamin Verdeja couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Smiddy Celts. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Gordon Alderson made the kick off in the second half. Orxata I Fartons's Peter Andres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Orxata I Fartons from getting a goal against them. Peter Andres made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ciaran McGill sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciaran McGill got free with Peter Andres in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Auderico Mata fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orxata I Fartons's protests and gave Auderico Mata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Auderico Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Ciaran McGill notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Orxata I Fartons's Peter Andres. Peter Andres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Xalbador Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Orxata I Fartons's goalkeeper Peter Andres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciaran McGill. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Gordon Alderson took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Peter Andres to make any attempt to save it. Garci Alvarez kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Smiddy Celts's Ciaran McGill dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Ian McVey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auderico Mata in the 85th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Gordon Alderson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Andres. Gordon Alderson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie Dyson got free with Peter Andres in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, Orxata I Fartons's goal looked a bit too open when Ciaran McGill came free, but Peter Andres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Orxata I Fartons fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Smiddy Celts were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
