Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Hind in the 4th minute of the match. Rio Linkletter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Fotbal Club Vaslui booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaz Stead didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Louis-Philippe von Fallersleben fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Louis-Philippe von Fallersleben a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Fotbal Club Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Louis-Philippe von Fallersleben. Rio Linkletter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rio Linkletter in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fotbal Club Vaslui's zone, Ralf Hind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen came out of the goal and Ralf Hind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ozzy Blythe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Fotbal Club Vaslui:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leicester Lions:s goal. In the 27th minute, Adam Bettney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Louis-Philippe von Fallersleben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Stu Frizzell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leicester Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fotbal Club Vaslui the free kick. Marcel Crișan kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ian Osborn sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rio Linkletter got free with Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Vaslui defense, Rio Linkletter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rio Linkletter to strike the kick off in the second half. If Stu Frizzell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Leicester Lions getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rio Linkletter hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Themistoklis Von Grimmelhausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozzy Blythe, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Vasile Pacuraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ralf Hind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, Leicester Lions's Ozzy Blythe made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Pacuraru got free with Robbie Metcalf in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Linkletter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes in the game Peter Kitchen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rio Linkletter. There was no doubt that Leicester Lions were the better team. Leicester Lions's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
