Giovanni Braamhaar went to the wrong direction when Horacio Txaran was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Arnulfo Palben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, SCARFACE's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Palben came free, but Giovanni Braamhaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Braamhaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Palben, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Giovanni Braamhaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Palben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Aragones was the one to do the kick off. When Arnulfo Palben came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the O rey Iván fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Palben couldn't finish the play. SCARFACE's Toni Zwarthoet got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SCARFACE! O rey Iván were furious when Placido Baladi was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of O rey Iván:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SCARFACE:s goal. O rey Iván's Ramiro Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jouke Boon in the 75th minute of play. When O rey Iván's Amador Aragones in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SCARFACE's goalie prevented a goal. Amador Aragones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovanni Braamhaar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Jonathan Millan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Zwarthoet's late challenge caught a O rey Iván's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toni Zwarthoet helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SCARFACE's Toni Zwarthoet got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Giovanni Braamhaar came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by O rey Iván's Horacio Txaran. But to his dismay, Horacio Txaran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Giovanni Braamhaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Aragones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carsten Wielaert hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The O rey Iván supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing O rey Iván would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
