After 27 minutes, Ernesto Velloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agua Santa and the La Pointe Courte players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Velloso. The long shot by Jean-Michel Blandin in the 28th minute really tested Tomé Mota's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 30th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominique Virapin to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Michel Blandin came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabri Fouquet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Quintal in the 33rd minute of the match. Jean-Michel Blandin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Tomé Mota made a huge save. The attack was good, but when Jean-Michel Blandin in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 38 played minutes La Pointe Courte got a freekick which was hit by Simon Boivin. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Luz in the 41st minute of play. Jean-Michel Blandin struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Tomé Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pointe Courte. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Pinho was the one to do the kick off. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. Fabien Gouraud kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Jean-Michel Blandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Agua Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Luz to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When William Luz fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agua Santa's protests and gave William Luz a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by William Luz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathis Castella in the 90th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Rafael Cruz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. La Pointe Courte's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
