The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of International Thunders:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Calenzano:s goal. The referee gave Calenzano a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fulvio Aquilino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of International Thunders's Timo-Fabian Rogowski. 0-1. A collision led to International Thunders getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tim Buß hit a great ball. After 18 minutes, René Krug made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Calenzano's Antonio Gizzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 played minutes International Thunders got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Gütermann. Enrico Di Gennaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo-Fabian Rogowski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Calenzano's Carmine Cimino got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Mario Grebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. International Thunders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calenzano the free kick. In the 30th minute, Mario Grebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Eckstein's late challenge caught a Calenzano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Eckstein helped the player get up and apologised. Benjamin Eckstein kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Alfredo Bolognini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calenzano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Bolognini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Calenzano booed when International Thunders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Grebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in International Thunders's zone, Alfredo Bolognini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timo-Fabian Rogowski came out of the goal and Alfredo Bolognini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrico Di Gennaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Bolognini to strike the kick off in the second half. Timo-Fabian Rogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Di Gennaro in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, International Thunders's Dennis Bartl got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Alfredo Bolognini hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jonas Wehren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Antonio Gizzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Thomas Gütermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Cimino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Timo-Fabian Rogowski made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goalkeeper Timo-Fabian Rogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmine Cimino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Bolognini got free with Timo-Fabian Rogowski in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the match, Calenzano's goal looked a bit too open when René Krug came free, but Antonio Gizzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mario Grebe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Mario Grebe kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, International Thunders's René Krug sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Gizzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calenzano were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after International Thunders's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fulvio Aquilino took the corner. Calenzano's Fulvio Aquilino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Timo-Fabian Rogowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Thomas Gütermann came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the International Thunders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Gütermann couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
