The audience thought a goal was coming when Presebal Japón got free with Clodoveo Delfino in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicanor Mederi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipo Ramirez having to interfere. Felipo Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Lleir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Laurita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Perutxo to maneuver through the defense. Felipo Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Reynardo in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Ortiz made a kick off. Pedro Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Mederi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipo Ramirez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
