The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lukács Baranyi made in the 5th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kálmán Horváth. Ádám Gellért's late challenge caught a C. A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ádám Gellért helped the player get up and apologised. Ádám Gellért kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When Sándor Szilágyi came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Várdomb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sándor Szilágyi couldn't finish the play. Renátó Bolla made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rodney Urbina sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wyatt Fowler got free with Renátó Bolla in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Várdomb booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wyatt Fowler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertold Csonka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Truman Cooley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Wyatt Fowler got a free kick in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Balázs Madaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várdomb's supporters rose to their feet, but Balázs Madaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Truman Cooley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodney Urbina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Lukács Baranyi in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C. A. Independiente's Gregg Hannah. 51 minutes into the match, Várdomb's goal looked a bit too open when Rodney Urbina came free, but Renátó Bolla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Várdomb's Renátó Bolla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Cage in the 53rd minute of play. When Rickie Cage came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickie Cage couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Várdomb's Ádám Gellért got a free kick in the 59th minute. Saul Bryson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Renátó Bolla. Várdomb's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renátó Bolla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickie Cage, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 61 minutes into the game, one of Várdomb:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for C. A. Independiente. Saul Bryson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Renátó Bolla. 1-0. Truman Cooley was a little too slow when Sándor Szilágyi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 72nd match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Bryson to maneuver through the defense. When Wyatt Fowler fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Wyatt Fowler a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Wyatt Fowler. After 79 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Saul Bryson. Truman Cooley made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Kálmán Horváth sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Wyatt Fowler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sándor Szilágyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Rickie Cage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Urbina to maneuver through the defense. Truman Cooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kálmán Horváth in the 96th minute. Várdomb were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
