The supporters of Sperides booed when Madison was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Uzuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Madison's Humberto Eliu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl Urbieta was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Sperides getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Machado Casero hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Sperides's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Uzuri came free, but Raúl Urbieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Humberto Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Urbieta made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Humberto Eliu sent off a good shot on target. When Humberto Eliu came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Madison fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Eliu couldn't finish the play. When Modesto Lalla fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madison's protests and gave Modesto Lalla a yellow card for diving instead. 25 minutes into the game, one of Madison:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jacobo Iban had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Machado Casero's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Raúl Urbieta was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Cristian Remicio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Remicio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Humberto Eliu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Raúl Urbieta made a huge save. The long shot by Saul Salvidor in the 42nd minute really tested Raúl Urbieta's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Humberto Eliu took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Urbieta. Raúl Urbieta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When Silvano Polentzi fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madison's protests and gave Silvano Polentzi a yellow card for diving instead. Silvano Polentzi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Silvano Polentzi got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 55th minute, Silvano Polentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Ecija got free with Jacobo Iban in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Sperides's zone, Cristian Remicio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Urbieta came out of the goal and Cristian Remicio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Madison's Moises Lon got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jacobo Iban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niceto Ecija's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Raúl Urbieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Eliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Sperides defense, Humberto Eliu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raúl Urbieta. The Sperides fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raúl Urbieta should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Machado Casero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Humberto Eliu sped through Sperides's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raúl Urbieta. After 82 minutes, Leocadio Sirvent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sperides and the Madison players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Madison booed when Sperides was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leocadio Sirvent didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Saul Salvidor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl Urbieta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Madison's Humberto Eliu in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sperides's goalie prevented a goal. Moises Theodore's late challenge caught a Sperides's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Theodore helped the player get up and apologised. Moises Theodore hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Humberto Eliu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madison fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0.
