FC Lëtzebuerg's Terry Kieffer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Giubelean in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of FC Buciumii booed when FC Lëtzebuerg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvester Muno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Magherescu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Aurelian Ştiubei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bismarck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurențiu Taşcău during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michael Bismarck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Ştiubei having to interfere. FC Lëtzebuerg's Luca Ludwick was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aurelian Ştiubei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Ludwick in the 43rd minute. Terry Kieffer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Giubelean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Bismarck made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Laurențiu Dinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buciumii's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurențiu Dinescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terry Kieffer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerd Hilpert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Aurelian Ştiubei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Lëtzebuerg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The excitement rose when FC Buciumii's Laurențiu Dinescu after 59 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for FC Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper to hold. Terry Kieffer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Giubelean in the 65th minute. Laurențiu Dinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurențiu Dinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Laurențiu Dinescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes FC Buciumii got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Taşcău. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Bismarck in the 78th minute of play forced FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Aurelian Ştiubei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Lëtzebuerg booed when FC Buciumii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Dinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Maximilian Diederich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lëtzebuerg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Buciumii the free kick. Maximilian Diederich kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Sebastian Giubeleans short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Terry Kieffer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luca Ludwick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurențiu Dinescu was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Lëtzebuerg had won after a very even match.
