Betão Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Ralondo in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sprite Star Football's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Efrain Itzaina was slow to take the kick. During this time CeciForEver's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Efrain Itzaina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sprite Star Football's Betão Paraíba did a great save. The supporters of Sprite Star Football booed when CeciForEver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clodoveo Eriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Sprite Star Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Valle to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, Sprite Star Football's Valdemar Cardoso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clodoveo Eriz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Cardoso in the 27th minute of play forced CeciForEver's goalkeeper Clodoveo Eriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexi Lalas was the one to do the kick off. A well-hit corner resulted in Delmar Ralondo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Delmar Ralondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão Paraíba was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
