Ramiro de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Carlos Alberto Magalhães tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, João Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfirio Garza was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Marcel Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Montevideo City Torque defense, Marcel Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Porfirio Garza. The Montevideo City Torque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Porfirio Garza should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the game, Esquipula Sandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevideo City Torque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.R. Caxias do Sul the free kick. 35 minutes into the match, Marcel Abreu notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Montevideo City Torque's Porfirio Garza. Porfirio Garza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute, João Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Magalhães in the 39th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Porfirio Garza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. If João Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Porfirio Garza threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Abreu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When %teams%'s Marcel Abreu was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 7-0 just inside the left pole, 45 minutes into the game. Porfirio Garza was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Abreu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, João Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfirio Garza was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Marcel Abreu scored 9-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Porfirio Garza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Porfirio Garza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 10-0 became the score in the 62nd minute when Marcel Abreu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Porfirio Garza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Marcel Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfirio Garza was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Magalhães in the 82nd minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Porfirio Garza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porfirio Garza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Batista in the 85th minute of the match. When Leopoldo Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Sanches couldn't finish the play. Porfirio Garza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Abreu in the 89th minute of the match. Porfirio Garza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Abreu in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Carlos Alberto Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. When the referee ended the match the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
