If Benicio Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Zijdewind SC's Gooitzen Roswinkel got a free kick in the 9th minute. Rigoberto Gutierrez in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Klompe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baldomero Iigo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Cuervos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan ter Averst came free, but Sebastian Saja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Saja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjors Hoekstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cuervos AFC's Julian Lehoi got a free kick in the 18th minute. Sebastian Saja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan ter Averst, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cuervos AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gooitzen Roswinkel was slow to take the kick. During this time Zijdewind SC's players had a chance to rest. Gooitzen Roswinkel made a great header on Zijdewind SC's corner, it was just that Cuervos AFC's Sebastian Saja managed to reach the ball for a save. Sebastian Saja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjors Hoekstra in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Gutierrez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe. Mario Klompe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, Baldomero Iigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The corner ended in Baldomero Gonza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe did a great save. Sebastian Saja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjors Hoekstra in the 33rd minute of play. Sjors Hoekstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Saja having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Umea in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Klompe saved Zijdewind SC from getting behind. Sebastian Saja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjors Hoekstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Rigoberto Gutierrez made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Cuervos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Iigo to maneuver through the defense. Jan ter Averst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Saja having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjors Hoekstra in the 57th minute of play forced Cuervos AFC's goalkeeper Sebastian Saja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gooitzen Roswinkel to maneuver through the defense. Jasper Latten charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jasper Latten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Latten. Baldomero Gonza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mario Klompe. Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cuervos AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baldomero Gonza in the 66th minute. A nice corner shot did that Baldomero Gonza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mario Klompe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Gutierrez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mario Klompe was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Gutierrez in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Klompe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Lehoi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes, Zijdewind SC's Gooitzen Roswinkel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastian Saja came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zijdewind SC reached it. 72 minutes into the match, Cuervos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sjors Hoekstra came free, but Sebastian Saja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Cuervos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Terciero to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Saja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjors Hoekstra in the 74th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Baldomero Iigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuervos AFC and the Zijdewind SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Cuervos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cuervos AFC made a substitution. Jonatan Dantel replaced Benicio Umea. A collision led to Zijdewind SC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jasper Latten hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Cuervos AFC's Jonatan Dantel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Klompe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute Sjors Hoekstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Saja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomero Iigo got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th minute, Baldomero Iigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cuervos AFC's Sebastian Saja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjors Hoekstra in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zijdewind SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cuervos AFC.
