Irrintzi Matanza charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irrintzi Matanza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilio Oterino made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Nilmar Freitas sent off a good shot on target. Emilio Oterino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Abud in the 11th minute. A collision led to Garfield Dream Team getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Irrintzi Matanza hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, DENVER™'s Luís Eduardo Araújo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilio Oterino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DENVER™ reached it. With a little luck, Garfield Dream Team's Emilio Oterino got control of the ball when Guilherme Abud tried to sneak it across the goal line. Garfield Dream Team's Emilio Oterino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Freitas in the 16th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Nilmar Freitas rounded Garfield Dream Team's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The supporters of Garfield Dream Team booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Freitas in the 26th minute of play forced Garfield Dream Team's goalkeeper Emilio Oterino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irrintzi Matanza took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Pinheiro. Toninho Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Abud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Oterino was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 2-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Guilherme Abud elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Garfield Dream Team's Emilio Oterino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Garfield Dream Team from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bikendi Cerezal to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Garfield Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Freitas came free, but Emilio Oterino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Oterino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Freitas in the 54th minute of the match. Nilmar Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Nilmar Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Oterino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Freitas in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Garfield Dream Team booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in DENVER™'s zone, Raymundo Echaitia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Pinheiro came out of the goal and Raymundo Echaitia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 minutes, Onbera Gordo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garfield Dream Team and the DENVER™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Garfield Dream Team got a freekick which was hit by Onbera Gordo. Emilio Oterino came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by DENVER™'s Nilmar Freitas. But to his dismay, Nilmar Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Garfield Dream Team's Emilio Oterino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Freitas in the 81st minute of play. Nilton Netto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Emilio Oterino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DENVER™. 87 minutes into the match, Waldir Romero notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Garfield Dream Team's Emilio Oterino. Emilio Oterino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toninho Pinheiro was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Irrintzi Matanza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Irrintzi Matanza really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. DENVER™ had won after a very even match.
