Ollie Marshall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Wilfredo Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Brown Puerto Madryn's Wilfredo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Garcia in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Ernesto Johans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ollie Marshall was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 23rd minute Ernesto Johans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ollie Marshall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siro Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ollie Marshall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Johans in the 30th minute of the match. Ernesto Johans might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ollie Marshall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Johans ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in San Antonio HotSPURS's zone, Ernesto Johans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ollie Marshall came out of the goal and Ernesto Johans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Brown Puerto Madryn's Mauro Ekain got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Brown Puerto Madryn were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

San Antonio HotSPURS made a substitution. Carlo Neff replaced Donny Garcia. The wind increased when Wilber Franklin made the kick off in the second half.
