But to his dismay, Haroldo Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Tolea, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Albert Muscaș kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot by Manfredo Cabral from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Radu Cucerzan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Dumitru Tolea hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Radu Cucerzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Dumitru Tolea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valdemar Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Dark Prophets's Radu Cucerzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Esteves in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Cavalcante in the 37th minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Radu Cucerzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Haroldo Esteves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Radu Cucerzan. That made the score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play. Radu Cucerzan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis de Andrade in the 42nd minute of play. After 46 played minutes Dark Prophets got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Sasu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

With 61 minutes on the clock, Ionică Dimofte commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dark Prophets fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Mihăiţă Gheție's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Gheție helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- booed when Dark Prophets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Gheție didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radu Cucerzan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Esteves in the 73rd minute of play. Beto Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Radu Cucerzan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Dark Prophets got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Isvoreanu. Olimpiu Isvoreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdemar Quadros having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dumitru Sasu during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Dark Prophets got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Sasu. Radu Cucerzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Cavalcante in the 92nd minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Radu Cucerzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fully deserved thier win.
