Evaristo Xacintu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rami Lehto in the 6th minute. Q. T. I.'s Evaristo Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rami Lehto in the 9th minute of play. When Teobaldo Weather fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Q. T. I.'s protests and gave Teobaldo Weather a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palloketut booed when Q. T. I. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Weather didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ermegildo Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Q. T. I.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Tallia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimi Nyrhinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Palloketut's Rami Lehto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teppo Keskinarkaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aarre Lajunen kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Jaime Menendo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimi Nyrhinen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jaime Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jimi Nyrhinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Palloketut getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aarre Lajunen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Salomon Itäluoma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palloketut's supporters rose to their feet, but Salomon Itäluoma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Xacintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rami Lehto hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jimi Nyrhinen made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Jaime Menendo sent off a good shot on target. Evaristo Xacintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarre Lajunen in the 71st minute of the match. Evaristo Xacintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarre Lajunen in the 82nd minute of play. Rami Lehto kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Ermegildo Tallia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
