Denis Niva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juha-Pekka Nurminen, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Dahlman came free, but Denis Niva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Jones were winning 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Juha-Pekka Nurminen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Denis Niva. That made the score 1-4 in the 90 minute of play. Denis Niva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juha-Pekka Mäkinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC Jones's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
