The Ugonotti fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Ugonotti's Fausto Tabacco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Ugonotti booed when Olympique Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Waldoch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbigniew Czarnecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Guadagnoli in the 7th minute of play. If Miromir Niziolek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Moreschi hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Adriano Guadagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ugonotti's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Guadagnoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbigniew Czarnecki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zbigniew Czarnecki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Tabacco went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Comunardo De Rubeis's late challenge caught a Olympique Gdynia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo De Rubeis helped the player get up and apologised. Ciccio Pietropaolo made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Benedykt Kossakowski sent off a good shot on target. Felice Anzolin's late challenge caught a Olympique Gdynia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felice Anzolin helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Ugonotti got a freekick which was hit by Felice Anzolin. After the first half Ugonotti were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ciccio Pietropaolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Kossakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Alessandro Moreschi fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ugonotti's protests and gave Alessandro Moreschi a yellow card for diving instead. Alessandro Moreschi hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Wladyslaw Pietrasz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciccio Pietropaolo. Ugonotti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bianco Colaussi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Zbigniew Czarnecki made a huge save. In the 89thth minute of the game Remigiusz Golec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ugonotti's Ciccio Pietropaolo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigiusz Golec in the 92nd minute of play forced Ugonotti's goalkeeper Ciccio Pietropaolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciccio Pietropaolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Kossakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Ugonotti were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Olympique Gdynia side.
