The referee ignored Ugonotti's protests and gave Fulvio Calabrese a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute Ferenc Kiprich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Sciotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferenc Kiprich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Sciotto having to interfere. If Dömötör Hoffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
