In the 34th minute, Benedykt Kossakowski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of István Szabó, passed just outside the right post. If Remigiusz Golec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ferenc Kiprich came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferenc Kiprich couldn't finish the play.
