An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Furtado in the 16th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Benard Millar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Giles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes Leeton United FC got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Waterland. Lúcio Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benard Millar. Leeton United FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Leeton United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quade Moon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Leeton United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Santos came free, but Benard Millar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulisses Santos in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benard Millar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulisses Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. José Augusto Furtado hit a great ball. Cornelius Fulton took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Azevedo. Juan Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Lúcio Meira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Quade Moon's late challenge caught a Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quade Moon helped the player get up and apologised. Quade Moon hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Tande in the 67th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Benard Millar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Leeton United FC's Ernest Giles made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nova Erechim - FSCMZ were furious when Cristiano Mendes was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 72 minutes into the game, one of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Leeton United FC. Jacob Baxter stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Azevedo. 3-1. In the 80th minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Lúcio Meira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Augusto Furtado in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benard Millar saved Leeton United FC from getting behind. José Augusto Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benard Millar having to interfere. Pedrinho Tande received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benard Millar came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedrinho Tande slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
