The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, C. A. Balnearia's Abelardo Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Guido Rodriguez came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the C. A. Balnearia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Rodriguez couldn't finish the play. Saverio Evis hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Alexandru Zaki hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Fidencio in the 17th minute of play forced Varangienii's goalkeeper Daniel Cobzeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Balnearia's Jacobo Tuste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Balint in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Varangienii's Daniel Cobzeanu got control of the ball when Zeledon Burni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Balint's late challenge caught a C. A. Balnearia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Balint helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C. A. Balnearia booed when Varangienii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Balint didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Burni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Daniel Cobzeanu made a huge save. Daniel Cobzeanu made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Abelardo Abreu sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Cobzeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Fidencio in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Varangienii booed when C. A. Balnearia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, C. A. Balnearia's Ildefonso Peio got a free kick in the 37th minute. Daniel Cobzeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Abreu in the 39th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandru Zaki was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Varangienii! The referee gave C. A. Balnearia a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Florencio Fidencio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Varangienii's Daniel Cobzeanu. 3-0. Daniel Cobzeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Avram Dacian fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Daniel Cobzeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Fidencio in the 62nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Varangienii's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Abreu came free, but Daniel Cobzeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Florencio Fidencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varangienii's Daniel Cobzeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Varangienii defense, Abelardo Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Cobzeanu. The Varangienii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Cobzeanu should have stopped the shot. Jacobo Tuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Balint, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ion Armeanca kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C. A. Balnearia defense, Romeo Balint kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Tuste. The C. A. Balnearia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Tuste should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Burni in the 85th minute of play forced Varangienii's goalkeeper Daniel Cobzeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saverio Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Florencio Fidencio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 94 minutes of play, C. A. Balnearia's Zeledon Burni made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Cobzeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! C. A. Balnearia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
