In the 15th match minute, JK Kurevere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Hanson to maneuver through the defense. In the 19thth minute of the game Christopher Camilleri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JK Kurevere's Olavi Pulver was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Henri Viksi fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JK Kurevere's protests and gave Henri Viksi a yellow card for diving instead. Carl Chircop kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Daniel Seracino Inglott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuuno Auru's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The supporters of JK Kurevere booed when Meerkats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Grixti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuuno Auru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Seracino Inglott when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 28 minutes, Glenn Tabone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meerkats FC and the JK Kurevere players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Glenn Tabone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Glenn Tabone was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. Daniel Seracino Inglott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kuuno Auru in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lembitu Püss in the 43rd minute of play forced Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Daniel Seracino Inglott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kuuno Auru was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Seracino Inglott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. JK Kurevere made a substitution. Volli Laineste replaced Kuuno Auru. A collision led to JK Kurevere getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lembitu Püss hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Stephen Saliba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavi Pulver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stephen Saliba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Hannes Avaja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
