After a defensive mix-up in Adevarul Pur's zone, Henrik Reifer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Nicorici came out of the goal and Henrik Reifer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Nicorici made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Marcello Karger sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Călimanescu came free, but Rasmus Gölz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sydney FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
