In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salvador Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Batista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Salvador Futebol Clube booed when FK Poolisti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludis Bards didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Conrado Arruda took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ilgmārs Beters to make any attempt to save it. 32 minutes into the match, Ludis Bards had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Fernando Batista. Salvador Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludis Bards was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 35 played minutes FK Poolisti got a freekick which was hit by Helvijs Maituss. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Conrado Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salvador Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilgmārs Beters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FK Poolisti's Vitauts Valdzers got a free kick in the 38th minute. A hard shot by Wiliam de Sousa from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Ilgmārs Beters's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 44 minutes, Albertinho Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salvador Futebol Clube and the FK Poolisti players grew even worse after the yellow card. FK Poolisti's Jūlijs Tolmanis got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Conrado Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salvador Futebol Clube's protests and gave Conrado Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. FK Poolisti made a substitution. Vitauts Spelītis replaced Jūlijs Tolmanis. FK Poolisti's Ilgmārs Beters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Valladares in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Salvador Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Helvijs Maituss fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The FK Poolisti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
