In the 4th minute, Lawrence Smart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrick Orlinsky came free, but Uriel Orland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 8 in the game by Hilario Txordon from a close distance when the talented Bart Greenwood managed to make a qualified save. Santos FC's players were relieved. Bart Greenwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Santos FC's Rodrick Orlinsky made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uriel Orland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bart Greenwood didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Deunoro went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kris Marks kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Teo Phelipe got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Kris Marks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Orland skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Niceto Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegaso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Botello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Pegaso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Deunoro to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Kris Marks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Txordon scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bart Greenwood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Virgilio Efren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pegaso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC the free kick. Virgilio Efren hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rodrick Orlinsky managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrick Orlinsky was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Orland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Txordon was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Niceto Botello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bart Greenwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Tracey Dolan got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Pegaso's Hilario Txordon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bart Greenwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bart Greenwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Txordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Fermin Deunoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bart Greenwood. Santos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Deunoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 70th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Alford to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Niceto Botello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Greenwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uriel Orland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kris Marks in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Louis Ragland during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santos FC! Bart Greenwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Botello in the 83rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hilario Txordon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bart Greenwood was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Santos FC's Rodrick Orlinsky got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos FC's Louis Ragland shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Uriel Orland but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desmond Rowell in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Orland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pegaso's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
