The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 19 minutes into the game, Bartolome Erosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Panchera the free kick. In the 19th match minute, VERDOLAGA CITY FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolome Erosa to maneuver through the defense. Hipolito Jusepe's late challenge caught a VERDOLAGA CITY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Jusepe helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes La Panchera got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Jusepe. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Chabier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Iglesias was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. La Panchera's Bruno Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save La Panchera from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 31 in the game by Iratxo Arizmendi from a close distance when the talented Bruno Cresenciano managed to make a qualified save. La Panchera's players were relieved. Bruno Cresenciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolome Erosa in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Bartolome Erosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. La Panchera's Bruno Cresenciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolome Erosa in the 41st minute of play. La Panchera's Bruno Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save La Panchera from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolome Erosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Cresenciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terciero Orantes in the 52nd minute of play. Ricardo Chabier hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Bartolome Erosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolome Erosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Iratxo Arizmendi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of La Panchera's Bruno Cresenciano. Bruno Cresenciano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iratxo Arizmendi scored 3-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Cresenciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute Mario Puredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Cresenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Cresenciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iratxo Arizmendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Bartolome Erosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolome Erosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Cresenciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venancio Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, La Panchera's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolome Erosa came free, but Bruno Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolome Erosa in the 90th minute of play forced La Panchera's goalkeeper Bruno Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Cresenciano came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Mario Puredo. But to his dismay, Mario Puredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. With 96 minutes on the clock, Sebastiano Torrienta commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes Venancio Goyo shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Horacio Iglesias when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VERDOLAGA CITY FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Panchera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
