Celsinho Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Celsinho Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brasiliense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celsinho Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Baiano in the 21st minute of the match. Brasiliense FC's Luiz Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Brasiliense FC from getting a goal against them. After 27 minutes, Betão Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capivara FC and the Brasiliense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. The Capivara FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Capivara FC's Júnior Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. João Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Baiano in the 37th minute of the match. Silvério Carneiro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Brasiliense FC's Luiz Baiano in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capivara FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júnior Veloso made a kick off. Luiz Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wilson Reis fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brasiliense FC's protests and gave Wilson Reis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Wilson Reis got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute Bebeto Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Brasiliense FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luiz Baiano hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Domingues. After 79 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Veloso. Silvério Carneiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but João Fernandez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Júnior Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Capivara FC's Fabiano Castro got a free kick in the 87th minute. Luiz Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luiz Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brasiliense FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
