When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Arias made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Damian Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot. River de Ramos Mejía's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Costante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Anier Bakar fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's protests and gave Anier Bakar a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Ibar in the 94th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes River de Ramos Mejía got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Ellande. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Carlos Regis got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
