Invictus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart De Keyser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğuş Ozaner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Sami Başar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wannes De Tapp. That made the score 2-2 in the 38 minute of play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Lennart De Keyser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaelmas's Doğuş Ozaner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Lennart De Keyser notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Karaelmas's Doğuş Ozaner. Doğuş Ozaner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Invictus FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Doğuş Ozaner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bram Huyghebaert in the 53rd minute of the match. Karaelmas's Doğuş Ozaner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Karaelmas from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lennart De Keyser got free with Doğuş Ozaner in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doğuş Ozaner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dreas Caers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ief Van den Berghe fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Karaelmas's Sami Başar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bobby Thielens, made in the 87th minute of the game. Doğuş Ozaner made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Lennart De Keyser sent off a good shot on target. Sami Başar took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wannes De Tapp. Wannes De Tapp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-5. With a little luck, Karaelmas's Doğuş Ozaner got control of the ball when Lennart De Keyser tried to sneak it across the goal line.
