The CD Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when CD Municipal's Jaime Maliaño looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kajetan Cwojdak got free with Silvino Oña in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvino Oña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wasyl Zahemski, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jaime Maliaño scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludomir Gniech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ospin Leiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludomir Gniech. Borowa Rzeszów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jaime Maliaño took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludomir Gniech. Ludomir Gniech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jaime Maliaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ludomir Gniech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Angelo Meruelo hit a great ball. With a little luck, CD Municipal's Silvino Oña got control of the ball when Kajetan Cwojdak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half CD Municipal were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Maliaño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Jaime Maliaño sped through Borowa Rzeszów's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ludomir Gniech. In the 58th minute, Aquiles Pavieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tolek Kosel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Fabian Glembin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Santxo Saboya in the 64th minute really tested Ludomir Gniech's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 67th minute, Wasyl Zahemski made a precise shot to the right of Silvino Oña. CD Municipal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 88th minute, one of CD Municipal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Municipal. The CD Municipal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Municipal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
