Academia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Abdelhamid Menguellet scored to the left of an out of position Constantino Rodriguez, making the score, 1-0. Boughera Benmabrouk scored 2-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantino Rodriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Fausto Argider came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Argider couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Fausto Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fathi Abbas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvio Mercurio charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elvio Mercurio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Elvio Mercurio got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fadhil Meniri got free with Constantino Rodriguez in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Nicolas Salvidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Abdelhamid Menguellet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Constantino Rodriguez. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 36th minute, Boughera Benmabrouk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goalkeeper Constantino Rodriguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boughera Benmabrouk. 42 minutes into the game, one of Academia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 47 minutes of play, Academia FC's Fausto Argider made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fathi Abbas was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdelhamid Menguellet to make the kick off. Constantino Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelhamid Menguellet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Orland. Constantino Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halim Zeghdoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. German Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Abdelhamid Menguellet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salmiyah Power fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelhamid Menguellet in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Constantino Rodriguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boughera Benmabrouk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salmiyah Power's Rabah Messaoudi was substituted for Halim Zeghdoud. Salmiyah Power made a substitution. Abdelkader Hamruche replaced Abdelhamid Menguellet. After 80 minutes of play, Salmiyah Power's Fadhil Meniri made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantino Rodriguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Abdelkader Hamruche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rabah Messaoudi came free, but Constantino Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Salmiyah Power's Abdelkader Hamruche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantino Rodriguez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Salmiyah Power players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
