In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Dietrich Heppner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 27 minutes, Nicodim Encica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THE CRYSTAL SHIP and the Academica Pulheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferdinand Nișu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mugurel Moculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Stober, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Anzengruber in the 38th minute of play forced THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goalkeeper Mugurel Moculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietrich Heppner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicodim Encica in the 42nd minute. A hard shot 45 in the game by Remus Agudaru from a close distance when the talented Dietrich Heppner managed to make a qualified save. Academica Pulheim's players were relieved. Dietrich Heppner came out of the goal and Iustinian Sinulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conny Stober blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugurel Moculescu having to make a save. The supporters of THE CRYSTAL SHIP booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Schaffert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Academica Pulheim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
