With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Lindell in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Velloso saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magnus Lindell in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paulo Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Magnus Lindell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Paulo Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute, Alex Lilja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Lindell came free, but Luís Paulo Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Magnus Lindell put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Paulo Velloso. After 26 minutes, Magnus Lindell made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rdth minute of the game Magnus Lindell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Borges during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 41stth minute of the game Magnus Lindell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Valdemar Brummer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellbystrand IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexilhão F. C. the free kick. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mellbystrand IK! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Fernando Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Mexilhão F. C. defense, Magnus Lindell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Paulo Velloso. The Mexilhão F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Paulo Velloso should have stopped the shot. The Mellbystrand IK fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Mellbystrand IK's Magnus Lindell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64thth minute of the game Magnus Lindell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Nyberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Paulo Velloso. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luís Paulo Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Lindell in the 69th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Barral. In the 72nd match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Borges to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torsten Mellberg during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valdemar Brummer hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Sven-Edvin Skräddare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Leo Örtlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellbystrand IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Örtlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Paulo Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Utfal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Luís Paulo Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mellbystrand IK's Andreas Nyberg got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Magnus Lindell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Paulo Velloso. The goal made the score 1-7. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ronaldo Linhares hit a great ball. When Arvid Fransson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mellbystrand IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arvid Fransson couldn't finish the play. Magnus Lindell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Velloso having to interfere. Arvid Fransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Borges hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mexilhão F. C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mellbystrand IK's performance. The match ended with a win for Mellbystrand IK.
