After 25 minutes of play, Varennes's Loic Deal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The Varennes fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Varennes's Lee Coffman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Varennes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
