Futebol Espinhel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aílton Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in ROSÁRIO SPORT's zone, Aldaír Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Cardozo came out of the goal and Aldaír Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severino Ramires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Cardozo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Futebol Espinhel's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Loyola came free, but Gil Ribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato das Neves. Zé Paulo Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Severino Ramires sent off a good shot on target. Gil Ribas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Lúcio Dionísio hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Lucílio Águas came free, but Zé Paulo Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Futebol Espinhel booed when ROSÁRIO SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half ROSÁRIO SPORT were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Nascimento made a kick off. With a little luck, Futebol Espinhel's Gil Ribas got control of the ball when Paulo Renato das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, Futebol Espinhel's Aldaír Lobo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Paulo Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Ramires in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Pedro de Amaral during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Pedro de Amaral hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Zé Paulo Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Ramires in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Aldaír Lobo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futebol Espinhel and the ROSÁRIO SPORT players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gil Ribas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cipriano Nascimento 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Aílton Neiva scored 1-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Ribas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ROSÁRIO SPORT's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
