In the 4th minute, Adam Ghimiș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sever Gâfu's late challenge caught a San Michele AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sever Gâfu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Cristinel Alexe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Adam Ghimiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes, Champions Iasi's Răzvan Postolache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amos Roberto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Champions Iasi reached it. 21 minutes into the game, San Michele AFC's Augusto Caligaris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristinel Alexe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Champions Iasi's Marin Petruescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amos Roberto. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Marin Petruescu hit a great ball. Cristinel Alexe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Di Pasquale, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Champions Iasi's Cristinel Alexe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Di Pasquale in the 32nd minute of play. Fedele Di Pasquale hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Răzvan Postolache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amos Roberto, 2-1. 42 minutes into the match, Adam Ghimiș dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amos Roberto, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Amos Roberto came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Champions Iasi's Adam Ghimiș. But to his dismay, Adam Ghimiș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 63 minutes into the game, Adam Ghimiș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Amos Roberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alberigo Pomponio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Cristinel Alexe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 69 minutes of play, Champions Iasi's Radu Siniştean made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amos Roberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amos Roberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Postolache, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when San Michele AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Taddeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Postolache hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Victor Chiru hit a great ball. Alberigo Pomponio struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cristinel Alexe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Michele AFC. Amos Roberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Siniştean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Adam Ghimiș made a precise shot to the right of Amos Roberto. San Michele AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Amos Roberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Petruescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Champions Iasi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
