David Oton's late challenge caught a Phenomenals FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Oton helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vampiros Aztecas's David Oton got a free kick in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Steve McManaman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabricio Gervaso was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The supporters of Phenomenals FC booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosendo Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fabricio Gervaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomenals FC. Marco Evangelista charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Evangelista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, Vampiros Aztecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Evangelista to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Fabricio Gervaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Vampiros Aztecas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Phenomenals FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
