A well-hit corner resulted in Erwin Reuters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 9th minute Robbin De Ruyter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Café DE PLOEG got a freekick which was hit by Glen Coremans. After 16 played minutes POCASPULGAS got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Guillem. Domingo Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin De Ruyter in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Robbin De Ruyter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Café DE PLOEG's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbin De Ruyter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingo Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 minutes, Dylan Roeland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Café DE PLOEG and the POCASPULGAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Glen Coremans made a precise shot to the right of Domingo Lawrence. POCASPULGAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, POCASPULGAS's goal looked a bit too open when Robbin De Ruyter came free, but Domingo Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingo Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbin De Ruyter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Guillem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Philip Van Den Eijnde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbin De Ruyter to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Café DE PLOEG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Roeland to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Guillem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Guillem in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Van Den Eijnde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 71 in the game by Robbin De Ruyter from a close distance when the talented Domingo Lawrence managed to make a qualified save. POCASPULGAS's players were relieved. In the 72nd minute, Robbin De Ruyter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Café DE PLOEG's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Guillem came free, but Philip Van Den Eijnde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glen Coremans's late challenge caught a POCASPULGAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glen Coremans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Glen Coremans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Glen Coremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Café DE PLOEG's Robbin De Ruyter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingo Lawrence made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Domingo Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Robbin De Ruyter sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Café DE PLOEG walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
