Spectators: 169 (Terracing: 127, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Bacardi FC's Robbe Winnepennincks started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Steve Adriaensens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Van De Wiele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Bacardi FC's Vince De Wortelaers threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robbe Winnepennincks, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Vince De Wortelaers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Robbe Winnepenninckss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Vince De Wortelaers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbe Winnepennincks in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vince De Wortelaers saved Brakkies New Bastards from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Vince De Wortelaers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Robbe Winnepennincks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbe Winnepennincks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince De Wortelaers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbe Winnepennincks in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vince De Wortelaers saved Brakkies New Bastards from getting behind. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bacardi FC! In the 39th minute Robbe Winnepennincks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince De Wortelaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbe Winnepennincks in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince De Wortelaers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vince De Wortelaers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robbe Winnepennincks's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Teo Van De Wiele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brakkies New Bastards's supporters rose to their feet, but Teo Van De Wiele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Adriaensens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yens Uytebroeck to strike the kick off in the second half. Brakkies New Bastards's Vince De Wortelaers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbe Winnepennincks in the 55th minute of play. If Robbe Winnepennincks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brakkies New Bastards's Arsene Grammet got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to Brakkies New Bastards getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Teo Van De Wiele hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Bacardi FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrice Vanden Berghe. In the 69th minute of the match, Yens Uytebroeck got a very nice opportunity to score, but Steve Adriaensens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Yens Uytebroeck notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Bacardi FC's Steve Adriaensens. Steve Adriaensens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Robbe Winnepennincks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vince De Wortelaers was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Bacardi FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
