In the 36th minute Maximilian Stražišar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasper Opdebeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximilian Stražišar in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jasper Opdebeeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jasper Opdebeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Stražišar in the 44th minute of the match. Erwin-Alexander Kerselaers hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Maximilian Stražišar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dejan Erjavc came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fajteri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dejan Erjavc couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timothy Ballette to strike the kick off in the second half. Jasper Opdebeeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fajteri. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximilian Stražišar got free with Jasper Opdebeeck in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 played minutes, FC Bruges's Laurend Snijers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vojkan Lapuh came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bruges reached it. In the 91st minute, Fajteri's Maximilian Stražišar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fajteri eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
