Kléberson Siqueira was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Olívio Souto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olívio Souto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Bueno in the 21st minute of play forced Templários MZC's goalkeeper Ian Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Salles hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Luziense's zone, Olívio Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Siqueira came out of the goal and Olívio Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Nuno Correia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kléberson Siqueira, passed just outside the right post. Ian Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Correia in the 34th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Luziense's goalkeeper Kléberson Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Templários MZC's Ian Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Martins in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Romário Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléberson Siqueira. Clube Atlético Luziense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romário Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ian Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Correia to make the kick off. Ian Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Rodrigues in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Luziense's Andrézinho Secco got a free kick in the 58th minute. Túlio Lira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Templários MZC's Nuno Correia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 64 minutes into the game, Templários MZC's Nuno Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clube Atlético Luziense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
