Humberto Senna came out and tried to block the shot, but Ksawery Sienkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Janusz Brack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Arce in the 12th minute of the match. Kacper Marchlewicz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Concordia Knurów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kacper Marchlewicz to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Emerson Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ksawery Sienkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Janusz Brack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Miroslaw Glozor fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Concordia Knurów's protests and gave Miroslaw Glozor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when Concordia Knurów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Glozor didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho Lopes in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janusz Brack saved Concordia Knurów from getting behind. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Clemente Arce hit a great ball. If Miroslaw Glozor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ksawery Sienkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Humberto Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Cavalcante scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Janusz Brack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Marcelo da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leon Sport Club's protests and gave Marcelo da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Zbigniew Ruzicki's late challenge caught a Leon Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zbigniew Ruzicki helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Concordia Knurów getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Zbigniew Ruzicki hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's Emerson Eger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Miroslaw Glozor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, Concordia Knurów's Ksawery Sienkowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anderson Gerber made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Concordia Knurów's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Gerber came free, but Janusz Brack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Miroslaw Glozor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ksawery Sienkowski went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslaw Glozor came free, but Humberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janusz Brack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Arce in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Concordia Knurów's Damazy Zbytniewski got a free kick in the 78th minute. Concordia Knurów's Janusz Brack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Arce in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Gerber in the 86th minute of play forced Concordia Knurów's goalkeeper Janusz Brack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Cavalcante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Janusz Brack came out and tried to block the shot, but Cláudio Cavalcante slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 88th minute. In the 94th minute, Cláudio Cavalcante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Janusz Brack. The goal made the score 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Concordia Knurów fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leon Sport Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
