Enrique Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Eschendaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Eddy Reitsma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Teles in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Edward Eschendaal got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Inazuma Japan's zone, Edward Eschendaal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Tinoco came out of the goal and Edward Eschendaal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddy Reitsma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Cleiton Teles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eddy Reitsma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Boca Gregorian Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 54 minutes into the match, Edward Eschendaal notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Inazuma Japan's Enrique Tinoco. Enrique Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 59 played minutes Inazuma Japan got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Félix. Harold Kuipers might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Tinoco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harold Kuipers ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Moreira during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Inazuma Japan's Cleiton Teles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eddy Reitsma. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleiton Teles got free with Eddy Reitsma in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inazuma Japan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
