All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dadá da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Thomas-Jan Verschelde got a free kick in the 55th minute. Lucas Bueno hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Frederick Van Linthoud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haithabu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederick Van Linthoud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 62 minutes, Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haithabu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oswaldo Alvarenga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Premier FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! When Thomas-Jan Verschelde came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Haithabu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas-Jan Verschelde couldn't finish the play. Thomas-Jan Verschelde struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Vítor Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haithabu FC. Haithabu FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
