Orlando Oihenarte hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Alexandre Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Aragones. Defensores de Lombroso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Britto in the 12th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Elpidio Aragones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Latorre, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Premier FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Ceresso. The audience was convinced that Joel Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elpidio Aragones was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Elpidio Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Matos went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's Ramiro Cidro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramiro Cidro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Joélson Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Serginho Arósio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Premier FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Elpidio Aragones came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Premier FC's Alexandre Matos. But to his dismay, Alexandre Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Elpidio Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Britto in the 47th minute of play.

Defensores de Lombroso's Agustin Mirande was substituted for Clodoveo Oliverios. Defensores de Lombroso's Marcelo Farias was substituted for Orlando Oihenarte. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Britto to strike the kick off in the second half. Diego Latorre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Arósio came free, but Elpidio Aragones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Miguel-Angel Merentiel. Vítor Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel-Angel Merentiel went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After 61 minutes of play, Defensores de Lombroso's Diego Latorre made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 65 minutes, Ramiro Cidro made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Premier FC's Vítor Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Marcelo Farias got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Defensores de Lombroso defense, Joel Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Aragones. The Defensores de Lombroso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Aragones should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Joélson Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Ramiro Cidro made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Amaral. Premier FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. Defensores de Lombroso's Miguel-Angel Merentiel got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Defensores de Lombroso's Elpidio Aragones proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Lombroso from getting a goal against them. The Premier FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Premier FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
