Yrigoyen.F.C's Constantino Ganix got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Eduino came free, but Inge Godholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Inge Godholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yrigoyen.F.C's Martin Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Svensson in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yrigoyen.F.C's Constantino Ganix got a free kick in the 20th minute. A hard shot by Petter Billberg from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Martin Austin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Efrain Eduino hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Carl Karlsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Austin. Carl Karlsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Karlsson in the 26th minute of play forced Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Martin Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Torstensson in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Petter Billberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Austin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 32nd minute, Linköpings AIK's Carl Karlsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martin Austin. Martin Austin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Efrain Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Inge Godholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Carl Karlsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Austin. That made the score 4-0 in the 37 minute of play. When Carl Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Linköpings AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Karlsson couldn't finish the play. After 47 played minutes Yrigoyen.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Santo Rufo. In the 48th minute of the match Jens-Ove Svensson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Austin skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Carl Karlsson made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Efrain Eduino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yrigoyen.F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköpings AIK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Yrigoyen.F.C's Efrain Eduino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Gilberto Cloyo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Karlsson came free, but Martin Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Gadd in the 61st minute of play forced Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Martin Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Torstensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Yrigoyen.F.C defense, Nils-Åke Gadd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Austin. The Yrigoyen.F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Austin should have stopped the shot. Yrigoyen.F.C's Martin Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Svensson in the 71st minute of play. Martin Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Karlsson went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Yrigoyen.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Eduino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Jens-Ove Svensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Efrain Eduino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Godholm having to interfere. Linköpings AIK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
